Top Animated Movies I’d Recommend Watching

Sometimes I don't want to watch a serious movie or spend half the time trying to figure out what's going on. I just want to grab some snacks, sit back, and enjoy myself. 😂

That's probably why I enjoy animated movies so much. They can be funny, emotional, exciting, or just completely crazy in the best way.

One of the coolest things about animation is that there's almost no limit to what you can show. Toys can come alive, dragons can fly through the sky, and different versions of Spider-Man can meet each other.

So, here are five animated movies I'd happily recommend.

1. Toy Story

Let's start with a classic.

The idea behind Toy Story is actually pretty simple: what if your toys came alive whenever you left the room?

It's a fun idea, but the friendship between the characters is what really makes the movie work for me.

There are plenty of funny moments, some exciting parts, and a few scenes that hit harder than you might expect from a movie about toys.

And honestly, Toy Story is one of those movies I could watch again years later and still enjoy.

3. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

This movie feels different from the moment you start watching it.

The animation has its own style, the action is energetic, and the idea of having different Spider-People together is just really fun.

But underneath all that superhero action is Miles Morales trying to figure himself out and learn what being a hero actually means.

That's probably what I like most about it. It isn't just “Spider-Man fights bad guys.” There's a real personal story happening too.

If you like superheroes, this one is definitely worth watching.

4. How to Train Your Dragon

Okay, I'm going to be honest—dragons are enough to get my attention. 😂🐉

But How to Train Your Dragon turned out to be much more than I expected.

The friendship between Hiccup and Toothless is at the heart of the movie, and watching that friendship grow is one of my favorite parts.

Then there are the flying scenes.

Seriously, those scenes make me wish I could jump into the screen and fly around with them for a while. 😂

It's adventurous, funny, and has some genuinely emotional moments too.

5. Shrek

Sometimes you just want to laugh, and that's where Shrek comes in.

It takes the fairy-tale stories we're familiar with and completely messes with them—in a good way.

The characters are weird, the situations get ridiculous, and there are jokes everywhere. But there's also a surprisingly nice story underneath all the comedy about friendship and accepting people for who they are.

And honestly, Shrek is one of those movies where even if you know what's coming, you can still have fun watching it.

What I like about these five movies is that they're all different.

Toy Story gives me friendship. The Lion King gives me adventure and emotion. Spider-Verse gives me superheroes and a fresh visual style. How to Train Your Dragon gives me dragons and an amazing friendship. And Shrek gives me a reason to laugh.

That's why I like animated movies so much. You don't always know what kind of experience you're going to get.
